Bluetooth Headphones or Earbuds: Which Is Better?

Bluetooth Headphones or Earbuds: Which Is Better?

When it comes to enjoying the ultimate music experience, headphones and earbuds are preferable to speakers because you’d need a very powerful speaker to achieve the same 3D sound effect as you’d get with headphones and earbuds. But then, which of the two is better? Both headphones and earbuds have Bluetooth capabilities, and they let you enjoy your music hands-free. When trying to select one or the other, you have to understand that each has its strengths and ideal uses.

How do you feel about bulk?

This is a pretty straightforward consideration. Headphones are bulkier than their sleek, portable alternatives–earbuds. You can often forget you even have earbuds in your ear, and will only remember after you get a call. Headphones, on the other hand, are impossible to forget. Not only do you have to deal with the constant weight of the gadget on your head, but you also have to endure the mild discomfort you get when they cover up your ears. The good news is that headphones do get more comfortable as you use them, so discomfort is no reason to discard the option. You even get used to the weight after a while. However, the bulk is still something you need to consider.

How do you like your sound?

The only reason you’ll even consider a headset is because of its sound quality. No one buys headphones because they want to make better phone calls. If you love music and look forward to identifying every single note, then you have to get some headphones. That’s not to say that earbuds are completely useless when it comes to quality sound. With earbuds, you get a more refined output than with headphones. Their small apertures make them capable of giving off unique sounds that you can’t get with headphones.

How often do you plan to charge?

This may seem like a silly question since you charge your device whenever you see the battery close to empty. However, since you use electronic gadgets often, odds are you’re already adapted to a particular charging routine. It’s much better for you to choose a device that’s suited to your routine, so that you can get the best experience. For example, if you often go the whole day without looking for an outlet to plug your phone or laptop, you may want to go for earbuds. They are designed to stay on for long periods of answering calls and other related functions. However, if you’re always close to an outlet, headphones are your go-to devices.

Go for the best of both worlds.

Both earbuds and headphones have their ideal uses. It all finally depends on what you need. When shopping for new arrivals on trendy vibes, consider which ones would suit you best. If you’re going to spend a lot of time listening to music or playing video games, go for headphones. If, on the other hand, you’re going to be a little more mobile, and plan to go the entire day without settling down to charge, you’re better off with a set of earbuds.
