Ohio as a state is often overlooked due to its close proximity to bigger states like Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michigan. That being said, the Buckeye state still has plenty to offer tourists, no matter what their interests are. In fact, there are plenty of high-quality locations for you to stay at while you’re visiting Ohio. So what are the best locations to visit while traveling through the state? Here are some fun places to stay in Ohio. 

Cleveland

Cleveland is probably the most well known and famous city in the state of Ohio. However, the extent of people’s knowledge about Cleveland probably ends at Lebron James and the local sports teams. That being said Cleveland has a lot to offer outside of sports. One of the most unique attractions in Ohio, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, can be found within the city. Right away the attraction’s unique pyramid design lets you know that this attraction is something special. Inside the Hall of Fame are plenty of exhibits and memorabilia honoring the biggest icons of the music industry. Cleveland is a great city with lots to offer, so you’ll certainly enjoy your stay. 

Columbus

As the state capital of Ohio, Columbus has a lot to offer visitors. The city is a college town, as Ohio State University’s main campus is located nearby. As you might expect, with one of the biggest college campuses right around the corner, the city can get pretty crazy. Tons of places like bars and nightclubs have popped up around the Columbus area to entertain the college crowds, meaning there’s plenty of entertainment to be had. Columbus also has some amazing and innovative outdoor areas and parks throughout the city, allowing people to get away from the busyness of downtown life. Cincinnati

Located on the shores of the Ohio River, Cincinnati has a lot to offer its guests. Cincinnati has a lot of attractions that guests can enjoy, most of which are both fun and educational. Guests can visit the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden to learn about nature and wildlife, or they could visit something like the Cincinnati Art Museum or Cincinnati Music Hall in order to learn about things like art and music. If those attractions aren’t your cup of tea, you could always visit Great American Ballpark to see a baseball game or watch the Bengals play at Paul Brown Stadium. One of the most underrated cities in Ohio is Dayton. However, after a visit to the city, you’ll likely be so enthralled that you’ll start looking for Dayton real estate to purchase. The area has a rich history, some great food, and even better attractions. The city has a unique association with aviation history, as it is the home of the National Museum of the U.S Air Force. If museums and history aren’t up your alley, thankfully Dayon has a blossoming nightlife. The city has plenty of bars and nightclubs, and since the cost of these places is much lower than in larger cities.
